Practical information to help you plan your visit
The Dome is the Planetarium’s large cinema and it is the biggest in Northern Europe. The doors to the cinema open approx. 5 minutes before the show begins.
Lockers are located inside Planetarium close to the entrance. They are available at a price of DKK 10,00 or 1 EUR.
Once the locker is opened there is no refund. We are not able to guarantee availability, if we have many visitors.
We have one elevator up to the Dome which is available to all.
Digital space journey
Film performances in the Dome all begin with a 10 minute space journey.
All toilets are all located on the group floor close to the exit – here we have both men’s, ladies and toilets for the disabled.
A changing space is also available in the handicap toilet. The accessible toilet is mainly for disabled people and guest who need to use the changing tables.
Guided tour and activities
During selected weekends and school holidays, we offer guided tours and fun activities.
We do not recommend our Dome to children under the age of 3. In addition, there may be certain age restrictions already set by the Media Council. They assess all movies that are being screened at the Planetarium. The age limit is how under each film in the film program.
Almost all our films are in Danish. There are however some, for example Apollo 11 which is only shown in English. Check the description of each movie, here you will also find information about the length of the movie.
It is for the time being not possible to hear the danish versions of our films with headsets in english.
The length of the film
Under each film you can see the exact length of each individual film. Here you will also find a description of the film, information about the film’s narration and possibly age limits.
Special Needs facilities
The Planetarium offers accessible toilets, an elevator and three wheelchairs spaces in the Dome. We have a wheelchair available for use in the Planetarium, however as we only have one we would recommend if possible that you have your own wheelchair with you. If you have booked a guided tour we have headsets which fit over your hearing aid.
Special needs people visiting with a companion card from the Danish Disability Organizations may be accompanied by one person without charge. The card must be presented to the ticket desk at the entrance.
Guide dogs are welcome inside the Planetarium. The planetarium has number of centrally located rest areas.
Animals are not allowed in the Planetarium; however guide/assistance dogs are permitted.
