Information

Since then, telescopes and instruments have been developed to observe all kinds of light from the sky, including light that is invisible to the naked eye and ordinary telescopes.

These years astronomy is undergoing the greatest breakthrough since Galilei pointed his telescope towards the sky. The film Unseen Universe illustrates how astronomers make new and groundbreaking discoveries using extremely advanced astronomical observation technology and supercomputers that analyze data, connecting telescopes from all over the world so they act as one giant telescope that can observe events and objects in space.

Technology challenges our understanding of the universe enabling us to explore space far beyond the human senses.

Unseen Universe has been created in collaboration between ESO and the Houston Museum of Natural Science and provides a fantastic visual and inspiring insight into human exploration of the universe.
